I had such fun with textures and colours in this work.  Being a natural realist painter I find special enjoyment beginning a work with little idea of what it will look like when finished. the final touches with the gold paint gave the work that special glow.

This is a very textured work with the positive statement “a brighter tomorrow” written into the painting. The intention is to encourage the viewer that it is within their power, with making right choices, that their tomorrows will be brighter.

I spent a lot of time forming the textured foundation in the beginning stages of this painting to give it its special effect. I chose some of my favourite colours and then added gold paint to add richness and to complete this work.
