I came across this delightful scene while going on a bush walk with my husband and three sons. The New Zealand Pongas (a native silver tree fern) and toetoes (pronounced “toi tois”, a tall native grass) along with the orange flowering flaxes and waterfall shouted out at me that I needed to paint this scene.
